TELL OF BEING ARRESTED
AND PAYING FOR RELEASE.
-----
Greeks Complain to Police, Then Hold
Massmeeting, and Will Call on
State's Attorney Deneen Later.
-----
Complaint was made to the police last night that a number of Greeks were being arrested on trumped up charges and forced by a justice of the peace to pay money for their release.  A massmeeting was held at 324 State street and steps were taken toward stopping the alleged abuse.  A delegation of Greeks will call on State's Attorney Deneen.

George School, who conducts a restaurant in the basement of 324 State street, with John and Frank Pulos, his employes, was arrested a week ago on complaint of Gust Clikos, owner of a restaurant at 318 State street.  The prisoners were charged with disorderly conduct, larceny, and threats to kill and were taken before Justice Albert F. Keeney, room 405 Chamber of Commerce building.

The warrants were sworn out by a man named Ganapolis, an interpreter.  When taken before the justice the prisoners were induced, they say, to pay for their release.  School says he paid $10 and the Pulos brothers $15 each.  The bonds were signed by Ganapolis.
